Probably Stolen begins with more than the management of a cyberpunk-themed store. During the opening week, customers bring requests, clues and opportunities to build up the business, while several early tasks introduce the systems used to assess and trade items.

Destructoid’s Nov. 1 walkthrough recommends choosing Apprentice as the starting specialization for a smoother introduction. Players then select their opening perks and one of three difficulty modifiers. A short overlay tutorial follows before the first customer arrives.

How to approach the first two days

There are five customers to handle on Day 1. The game calls them through the green button near the recorder, beginning with a mentor who explains the basic process. Customer appearances are randomized, so the exact lineup can differ between playthroughs.

Destructoid recommends looking for food items during the first day because they can be sold for a profit. A criminal list is also provided. If one of the listed criminals appears, the walkthrough says to inform the authorities. That encounter is fixed for all players.

  • Starting specialization: Apprentice is recommended for an easier opening.
  • Day 1: Handle five customers and follow the criminal-list instruction when applicable.
  • Day 2: Handle four customers and look for food or inexpensive discounted items.
  • After Day 2: The Dumping Ground becomes available.

Day 2 follows a similar pattern, with four customers to serve. The walkthrough advises checking food items first, along with discounted goods that appear inexpensive. Not every discounted item will be profitable, but Destructoid says the business can eventually move into the green.

After the second day, players gain access to the Dumping Ground. Once all attempts there have been used, the guide recommends taking the most valuable item and returning to the shop.

Checking goods on Day 3

Day 3 includes six customers, one of whom is the mentor. This visit teaches players how to identify discrepancies in products. The magnifying glass can be used to inspect an item closely before buying it and determine whether it has defects.

The guide’s early advice is to use the first days to learn how customer encounters, item inspection and purchasing work rather than treating every discounted product as a guaranteed opportunity. The customer pool remains randomized, while the criminal encounter described for Day 1 is consistent across players.

The labeler arrives on Day 4

Day 4 introduces the labeler, another shop system in the opening-week progression. Destructoid’s walkthrough identifies the labeler as the next important tool after the first three days of customer service, product checks and the initial visit to the Dumping Ground.

This guide applies to the release version covered by Destructoid’s Nov. 1 walkthrough. It does not identify a patch number, so players should compare these early-week steps with later game updates if the shop systems change.
