Gravhounds, the debut game from Swedish studio Octopus Panic, joined Xbox Game Pass on Nov. 2 as the subscription service’s first day-one addition of November. The co-op action builder entered Xbox Game Preview at noon ET, giving subscribers access to the game on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The release also makes Gravhounds the service’s 14th Game Preview catalog addition of 2026, according to GameRant. Octopus Panic first announced the game during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August, where the studio confirmed its Nov. 2 launch and day-one availability through Game Pass.

“co-op action builder” — Octopus Panic’s description of Gravhounds

A debut from a seven-person team

Octopus Panic is a seven-person studio based in Sweden. Its developers have previously worked on series and games including Battlefield, The Saboteur, Halo, Def Jam: Fight for NY, Star Wars and Full Spectrum Warrior.

Gravhounds is built for one to four players and follows bio-engineered canine workers that become stranded far from home. The team is sent on assignments by an artificial intelligence system as players build and fight through the game’s environments.

  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming
  • Launch format: Xbox Game Preview
  • Game Pass status: Day-one addition on Nov. 2
  • Players: One to four-player co-op

The game also supports Xbox Play Anywhere. That certification allows players who purchase the game to carry their saves between Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, while the Xbox Game Pass version is available across the listed Xbox and PC platforms and through cloud gaming.

Gravhounds’ arrival begins the November slate for Game Pass. The title’s release follows Octopus Panic’s August announcement and marks the studio’s first game to reach players. Its Game Preview launch means the game is being offered through an early-access-style program while development continues.
