FromSoftware has delayed The Duskbloods to 2027, moving the Nintendo Switch 2 game beyond its previously announced launch target. The studio confirmed the change Thursday, Oct. 29, while describing development as being in its final adjustment stage.
The Duskbloods does not have a specific release date or a narrower launch window. FromSoftware first announced the game in April 2025 and reaffirmed a 2026 release target as recently as February. The revised schedule leaves the project without a confirmed day, month or quarter for release.
Development continues after network testing
FromSoftware said feedback from the game’s August 2026 network test identified several areas that drew particular interest from players. The additional development time will be used to continue refining the game in response to that feedback and to address complaints and technical issues identified during testing.
- New target: 2027
- Platform identified: Nintendo Switch 2
- Current development stage: final adjustments
The studio highlighted combat, strategic depth and player expression among the areas receiving further work. Those elements were the focus of the feedback cited in the delay announcement, and FromSoftware said they would receive additional refinement before release.
The game was announced as a Nintendo Switch 2 title in 2025. Its 2026 target had remained in place through February, but the project had not received an official release date. FromSoftware’s Thursday announcement now establishes 2027 as the earliest announced launch year.
The delay also follows the game’s August network test, which gave players an opportunity to provide feedback on its online systems and gameplay. FromSoftware’s next announced step is continued development toward the final adjustment stage, with the game’s release year set at 2027.
