Niantic and local Community Ambassadors are staging Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global on Nov. 14–15, 2026, with official community meetups planned in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Stockholm, Sweden. The company said the events will include timed Research check-ins, photo opportunities and temporary in-game location additions aimed at supporting local gatherings.

event schedule and locations

  • Karlsruhe, Germany — Saturday, Nov. 14, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. (local time); Ettlinger Tor (Karl-Friedrich-Straße 26, 76133 Karlsruhe)
  • Stockholm, Sweden — Sunday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. (local time); Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Sergels Torg, 111 57 Stockholm

Niantic is working with Community Ambassadors to organize local activities. Participants are asked to check the Campfire group for each participating community for additional details and updates. The Karlsruhe listing notes attendees may encounter a special encounter referred to as “HanniMew.”

in-game features and community offerings

The event announcement said attendees can expect:

  • timed Research tasks available when players check in at official meetup locations
  • photo opportunities and printed event pins while supplies last
  • temporary additions of PokéStops, Gyms and Powerspots near event areas to support meetups

Niantic encouraged players who do not live near Karlsruhe or Stockholm to look for meetups organized by other Community Ambassadors across Europe. The company directed players to open event links on their phones for the best viewing experience.

Pokémon GO regularly partners with local community leaders for in-person events that combine physical meetups with in-game bonuses and activities. This announcement follows Niantic’s pattern of coordinating local ambassadors to host official or supported gatherings tied to limited-time Research, spawns and location changes.

Players planning to attend should follow local guidance from Community Ambassadors through Campfire and respect any public-space rules at meetup locations.
