According to recent rumors, gaming enthusiasts can expect the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 to hit stores in the second half of 2024. Meanwhile, documents obtained from the FTC lawsuit against Microsoft have revealed that a redesigned Xbox Series X is slated for release in late October 2024.
The leaked slides detailing Microsoft’s console plans provide insight into the upcoming changes. The new Xbox Series X will feature a striking cylindrical design, a departure from the current “fridge” aesthetic. Notably, the console will no longer have a disk drive but will come equipped with 2TB of storage and a USB-C port on the front.
In terms of specifications, the console will boast a 6nm die for improved efficiency, 16GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6E support, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and a PSU power reduction of up to 15%. The Sebile controller will be released in late May for $69.99 and can be utilized with existing Xbox consoles. Those purchasing the new Xbox Series X will receive a Sebile controller in the box, providing a comprehensive gaming experience right from the start.
