Nvidia’s DLSS 3.5 technology is set to launch for Cyberpunk 2077 on Thursday, September 21st. DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is a super sampling upscaling tech developed by Nvidia, and the latest version, DLSS 3.5, brings along a boost to advanced lighting systems with revamped AI ray reconstruction.
DLSS 3.5 aims to improve the visuals and performance of the game by enhancing ray tracing and maintaining a consistent frame rate. This feature is compatible with Nvidia’s RTX cards, starting from the original 20-series. Owners of newer 40-series GPUs will also benefit from more advanced AI-generated frames, resulting in faster and smoother performance.
Importantly, the DLSS 3.5 update will be available for all PC versions of Cyberpunk 2077. It will be included in the big 2.0 base game upgrade, meaning players won’t need to purchase the new Phantom Liberty story content to enjoy the visual boost, as long as their PC meets the system requirements. However, for players who can’t support DLSS 3.5 on their PCs, some effects will still be enabled in the GeForce Now streaming version of the game.
Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 is the only PC game with documented support for DLSS 3.5. However, Nvidia plans to expand support and introduce the AI-trained system to more games in the future, especially for new releases.
With DLSS 3.5, Cyberpunk 2077 players can expect an enhanced gaming experience with improved graphics and smoother performance, taking full advantage of Nvidia’s advanced hardware and software technology.
