Microsoft is set to remove seven games from the Xbox Game Pass library on September 30, affecting console, PC, and cloud platforms. The titles being removed include Outriders, Prodeus, Weird West, Moonscars, Last Call BBS, Despot’s Game, and Beacon Pines. However, players who wish to continue playing these games can purchase them at a 20% discount from their normal price.
This batch of removals follows the previous elimination of nine games from the Game Pass catalog on September 15. In total, September will see a net loss of nine games from the library. However, Microsoft released the highly anticipated Starfield on Game Pass this month, making it one of the biggest titles to join the service this year.
Despite the removals, there are upcoming additions to the Game Pass library. The Souls-like Pinocchio game, Lies of P, recently joined the lineup, and the battle royale game Party Animals is set to arrive on September 20. Payday 3 will be available on September 21, followed by Gotham Knights on October 3.
Microsoft has also hinted at potential surprises and announcements for Game Pass at its Tokyo Game Show event on September 21. Additionally, the newly launched Xbox Game Pass Core offers a collection of 36 titles, with the promise of periodic additions in the future.
