In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC, The Teal Mask, the Reaper Cloth is a key evolution item needed to evolve Dusclops into the powerful Dusknoir. However, obtaining the Reaper Cloth is not as straightforward as buying it or finding it in an obvious location.
There are two ways to obtain the Reaper Cloth in The Teal Mask DLC. The first method is by visiting the Timeless Woods, which are located in the northeast part of the Kitakami region. To reach the Timeless Woods, either go east from Paradise Barrens or northeast from the Crystal Pool. Once in the Timeless Woods, head just south of the center, where you will find a red Pokéball hidden among some trees. This item is the Reaper Cloth.
The second method of obtaining the Reaper Cloth is by catching 170 Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokédex. If you have already caught all 400 Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex, you should already have 100 Pokémon in your Kitakami Pokédex. To catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna, another Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokédex, you will need to catch a total of 150 Pokémon. Once you have caught 170 Pokémon, you will receive a prompt in your Pokédex, allowing you to claim the Reaper Cloth as a reward.
To use the Reaper Cloth and evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir, you must first give the Reaper Cloth to your Dusclops to hold. Duskull evolves into Dusclops at level 37 and can be found in locations such as Oni Mountain, the Infernal Pass, Crystal Pool, Fellhorn Gorge, and the Timeless Woods. Dusclops can also be found in the Kitakami Wilds and the Timeless Woods.
To complete the evolution, you will need to trade your Dusclops holding the Reaper Cloth with another player. If you don’t have a friend to trade with locally, you can arrange an online trade. After the trade, your Dusclops will evolve into Dusknoir.
