The highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI has fans eagerly awaiting updates from Rockstar Games. However, thanks to a major leak, some details about the upcoming game have surfaced. Here’s what we currently know about GTA VI.
According to a YouTuber and content creator known as Need For Madness Auto, last year a hacker leaked ’90 early in development clips’ of the new game. These assets were obtained by hacking into a private Rockstar Slack communication channel. Although these leaks give us some insight, it’s important to note that they may not represent the final aspects of the game.
One of the most exciting reveals from the leak is the introduction of GTA’s first-ever female protagonist named Lucia. Details about her character beyond her name and appearance are still unknown. Another playable character named Jason will also be featured in the game.
GTA VI will take place in Vice City, a setting familiar to fans of the franchise. The game will exist in the same universe as GTA IV and V. Some mechanics from Red Dead Redemption 2 will be carried over, including crouching, stealth, and the eagle eye system.
New mechanics in GTA VI will include a self-revive feature, allowing dying characters to bring themselves back to life. The AI system has also been improved, along with an enhanced police system that introduces a ‘Time Until Cops Dispatch’ feature. Players will have the ability to restrain NPCs and there will be a limited Weapon Wheel.
Vehicle gameplay in GTA VI will see improvements as well. The Advanced Hijack Cars system will make stealing cars more challenging and there will be an expanded vehicle compendium that tracks every car the player has driven. Vehicle damage and handling will be more realistic, with crashes having a greater impact.
While these leaks provide a glimpse into the world of Grand Theft Auto VI, it’s important to remember that details may have changed during development. Fans will have to patiently wait for official updates from Rockstar Games.
