CD PROJEKT RED has released a documentary showcasing the making of 89.7 Growl FM, a radio station in Night City featured in the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. The documentary provides behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the talented artists responsible for the tracks on the station. It also includes discussions with representatives from CD PROJEKT RED who oversaw the Growl FM competition, as well as the composers involved in choosing the winners.
The documentary, available on the official Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel with subtitles in multiple languages, offers approximately 45 minutes of insights into the creation process. Viewers can learn about the inspiration behind the station and hear from the artists and developers involved in its development.
89.7 Growl FM, hosted by DJ Ash (voiced by Sasha Grey), is one of three new stations being introduced in Cyberpunk 2077 with Update 2.0. The selection of 14 tracks featured on Growl FM were chosen from nearly 8,000 entries submitted by the Cyberpunk 2077 community. To complement the documentary, CD PROJEKT RED has created an official playlist of all the songs on popular music streaming platforms.
Update 2.0, set to release on September 21, 2022, will bring new gameplay interactions centered around Growl FM and its songs. Cyberpunk 2077 players can look forward to experiencing these additions and exploring the expanded world of Night City.
