Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean kicked off Presto! 2019 at the Pasir Ris Elias Community Club, Saturday, 22 June 2019.

Presto! 2019 was jointly organized by Pasir Ris Elias CC Youth Club & Pasir Ris West CSC. Cleverly named PRESTO! (Pasir Ris Elias eSports TOurnament), the event was organized as part of an effort to provide more community tournaments for players to participate in and enjoy gaming.

Esports Tournaments
The event came to life with excited faces from all walks of life, coming together to compete in their favourite games. Friends and family gathered to compete in three different game titles, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Fifa 19 and Apex Legends, for a prize pool of over $1500 in Cash Vouchers.

Even as players were eliminated from their tournaments, there was plenty for players to do at the event! Of which, it was the one and only AR esports game in Singapore, HADO. Players grabbed their shields and fired projectiles at their opponents in this exciting AR experience.

Lures for Days
Pokemon Go fans were also treated to Mystery Boxes as well as Special Lures set up at Pokestops in the vicinity. Personally, I managed to get a Probopass and a Magnezone from the Magnetic Lure that was set up.

PUBG Mobile
Finally, players were also given the chance to experience PUBG Mobile in the same lobby locally. Lobbies were created for players to join in on their mobile devices to compete for that elusive chicken dinner.

PRESTO! 2019 would not have been possible without the support from the People’s Association, SCOGA. Sponsors Predator, ViewQwest and Battle Royale Singapore.
